I love to draw but I don’t get a chance to do it often. During the pandemic, in rare bits of downtime, I would scribble. These four cartoons were never published but each tells a story about a different part of the pandemic.
Who can forget the early days of the outbreak, when toilet roll was in high demand?
Over in Britain, this one will be recognisable as the prime minister and his chief scientific advisor, Patrick Vallance, who gave regular press briefings while the government insisted that it was always “following the science”…
Then there were those times when there was a respite from a lockdown and one could rush out and get a few normal tasks accomplished…
And this last, unfinished, cartoon is the end of the pandemic. It occurred to me that the natural introverts among us were perhaps not quite so excited about the return to normal…
